Chocolate Crinkles

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups white, all purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup confectioner’s sugar

Instructions

Batter Instructions:

    1. Mix oilchocolate, and granulated sugar.
    2. Blend in eggs, one at a time.
    3. Add vanilla extract.
    4. Mix flourbaking powder, and salt in separate bowl.
    5. Slowly add flour mixture into oil, stirring to combine.
    6. Chill in refrigerator for several hours or overnight.

Baking Instructions:

    1. Heat oven to 350°.
    2. Pour some confectioner’s sugar into a bowl.
    3. Drop a teaspoon-sized amount of the dough into the sugar and cover it lightly.
    4. Roll the dough into a ball and place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.  Do not flatten.
    5. Bake 10-12 minutes.  Makes about 6 dozen.
